In addition to its primary focus of gas storage services, Star Energy also produces and sells oil and electricity.

Gas Storage

Some of our depleted oil and gas fields provide a ready-made infrastructure for gas storage. Our developments, such as at Humbly Grove and Albury, will help meet Britain's future gas storage requirements.

Oil Production

Crude oil is extracted from our onshore wells in the Weald Basin and East Midlands fields. We have contracts in place to supply to Esso, BP and Conoco.

Gas Production

Gas produced at Albury, Humbly Grove, Welton, Palmers Wood and Gainsborough is used to fuel our gas turbine or gas engine power generators. 

Power Generation

Electricity for export is generated at Humbly Grove, in the Weald Basin, and at Gainsborough and Welton, East Midlands. Currently installed capacity is around 25 MW. The company has a contract to sell all of its electricity generation to Smartest Energy. More
